9/11 Memorial Comes To TRF (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A traveling piece of history will be part of the 45th annual Three Rivers Festival.

A New York City Fire Department fire truck that responded to the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, will be on display Saturday and Sunday at Headwaters Park.

Rescue 5 was recovered from the rubble, and restored along with Rescue 4's truck as part of the Remembrance Rescue Project, a non-for profit organization, that saved the truck from a scrapyard.

All eight men of Rescue 4 & 5 died at Ground Zero.

The Rescue 5 memorial will be on display Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
