FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- As images of planes flying into buildings are paraded before our eyes this weekend, one clinical psychologist in Fort Wayne has a simple piece of advice...”Less is More”.
Dr. Stephen Ross understands that teenagers will be drawn to video from the attacks on television, or on the Internet.
He says schools may even show the pictures to students as part of discussions about the historical significance of 911.
But he says younger children need to be shielded.
Stephen Ross, PSYD/Clinical Psychologist: " I would limit and I have been limiting my 11-year old's access to watching this on the TV or what not, because it would just make more anxiety, make anxiety worse."
Ross says any discussions about 911 with young children should include reassurances about their safety.
