Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - To say the Fort Wayne Air Show was a success would be an understatement.

Thousands upon thousands walked through the gates of the 122nd Fighter Wing to tour the facility and watch the military jets in action.

Colonel David Augustine of the 122nd spoke with us and was happy to share his thoughts about the air show and to announce just how many people showed up for the event.

Col. David Augustine’s response was a little over 82,000 visitors.

Augustine still confirming that the air base plans to host an air show every 3-4 years. The final decision will come once they find out the bases military commitments.
