Zimmerman Charged With Second Degree Murder In Trayvon Martin Case

FLORIDA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - It is a case that has gripped the nation, spurring protest through out the United States including right here in Fort Wayne.

In Florida the special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin case Angela Corey, announced late Wednesday that Martin's shooter George Zimmerman will face charges of second degree murder.

The neighborhood watch volunteer maintains he shot the unarmed 17-year-old in self-defense.

Zimmerman is in police custody.
