FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Jarrod Vroom, 39, has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing 100 or more marijuana plants.

Vroom pleaded guilty last year to a single count of a three-count indictment. Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Theresa Springmann sentenced Vroom to 60 months in prison followed by four years on supervised release.

Jason Bridges, 32, was also indicted in the operation after his home was raided in September by the Allen County SWAT team following months of investigation by the Indiana State Police, Allen County Drug Task Force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

According to our partner in news, The Journal Gazette, Vroom is also charged with felony rape in Allen Superior Court, accused of sexually assaulting a mentally impaired woman who functions at a mental capacity of a 4-year-old and became pregnant from the alleged attack.

The rape charge is pending.
