INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Three separate shootings have left three dead and three injured overnight in the Indianapolis area.

The first shooting happened in the 3800 block of N. Layman Ave. around 7 p.m. Police say they found one man dead in a vehicle that had crashed into a tree in the front yard of a house and another man lying on the street suffering from several gunshot wounds. The injured man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The second shooting happened just before 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Glenridge Dr. Police arrived on the scene and found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. The women provided a description of the suspect and were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Then Tuesday morning, just before 5 a.m., police were called to an apparent murder-suicide in Lawrence. Homicide investigators said a man fatally shot his wife before fatally shooting himself. Two teens inside the apartment suffered head wounds and three younger children were taken into custody by Child Protective Services.

Few details are given about what prompted each shooting.
