LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) -- A leading supplier of automotive products plans to move its operations from Three Rivers and Centreville, Mich., to LaGrange County, creating up to 250 new jobs by 2016, said State Sen. Sue Glick (R-LaGrange).
According to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), Exo-s US, LLC will invest $6.8 million to relocate its manufacturing operation to a facility in Howe. The Quebec-headquartered company intends to begin operations at this location early next year.
Glick said the announcement shows Indiana’s economy is steadily growing.
“More companies are making Indiana their home, and it’s clear to see why,” Glick said. “Our pro-business tax environment and workforce-development initiatives show that we’re a state in which employers can confidently invest. It’s great to see Exo-s choose our community for its operations and contribute to our economy.”
IEDC offered Exo-s up to $2.75 million in conditional tax credits and up to $225,000 in training grants. These are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company cannot claim the incentives.
Exo-s plans to start hiring machine operators, manufacturing associates, and technical and engineering personnel early next year. Interested applicants can contact the company’s human resources department by mail at P.O. Box 328, Three Rivers, MI 49093 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
