23-Year-Old Hospitalized After Snowmobile Crash

HOAGLAND, Ind. (21Alive) -- A Hoagland man is hospitalized following a late night snowmobile accident.

According to Indiana conservation officers, 23-year-old Alex Scheuman was riding a snowmobile on the heritage snowmobile trail around 11 p.m. when he struck a fence, was thrown from the machine and then struck by a second snowmobile.

Scheuman was taken to the hospital to be treated for internal injuries. Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
