NE Indiana/ NW Ohio (Indiana's NewsCenter) -Parades, ceremonies, and festivals are all planned for this year’s Memorial Day Weekend. Celebrate the sacrifices that our brave servicemen and women have made by attending one of the events in your area.
Allen County- Fort Wayne has its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 30, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The parade starts at 11 a.m. at the corner of Parnell Avenue and State Street and ends at the Coliseum.
Calling all 3rd-11th grade boys and girls! From May 27-29, Spiece Fieldhouse is hosting its annual Run’N Slam All Star Classic Basketball Tournament.
The Three Rivers Memorial Day Open Horse Show starts on Monday, May 30, at 8 a.m. Come hungry! Biscuits and gravy will be served for breakfast.
Blackford County- Memorial Day observances and other activities will be conducted by the American Legion in both Montpelier and Hartford City, as well as the American Veteran (AMVETS) Post in Hartford city.
Two memorial services are open to the public. The first one will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, which is east of Montpelier on State Road 18. The second service will take place at Brookside Cemetery, located northwest of Montpelier on Jeff Road.
DeKalb County- Every make, model, and type of car is invited to Auburn’s Cruise-In: Gathering with the Classics. This three-day car show starts on Friday, May 27 and ends on Sunday, May 29.
Grant County-You can spend quality time with the family at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University. The last set of events will conclude on Saturday, May 28.
On Friday, May 27, local businesses will race against each other for a good cause. Plan on attending the annual fundraiser – Go Arts Go Carts: Community Bill Cart Race: Fundraiser for the Arts. The actual race starts at 6 p.m., but games for the kids begin at 5 p.m.
Jay County- Redkey Indiana will hold a memorial service on May 30 at Claycomb Cemetery.
Kosciusko County- Warsaw will hold a Memorial Service on Monday, May 30, at Oakwood Cemetery. Service starts at 11 a.m.
Leesburg- Leesburg Memorial Parade at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
North Webster- Parade through downtown at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Noble County- Get ready to sing and dance all weekend at Kendallville’s Bluegrass Festival. Pay $25 for the whole weekend and enjoy all the 2-hr workshops and over 30hrs of concerts
Mercer County (Celina) - Memorial Service at Mercer Memory Gardens

Paulding County- Service Monday at 11a.m. at Live Oak Cemetery
Antwerp: Parade at 10am
Defiance County- The traditional Memorial Day parade from downtown Defiance to Riverside Cemetery starts Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Triangle Park.
