AUBURN, Ind. (NBC33) -- Shortly before noon Monday, the Auburn Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of 15th St. and Indiana Ave.
The blue 1991 Pontiac Bonneville was stopped for a violation of operating with an obstructed view. Zachary Lunsford, 21, was the driver and three other males were in the car.
Officers found numerous illegal substances and drug related paraphernalia and arrested the men on various charges as described below:
Zachary Lunsford, 21 of Swanton, Ohio - maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of paraphernalia.
Trey Pool, 20 of Angola, Ind. - Possession of paraphernalia, possession of a synthetic drug, visiting a common nuisance
Michael Howard, 25 of Sanford, Fla. - Dealing Methamphetamine, dealing in a look-a-like substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of paraphernalia
Lane Slone, 20 of Angola, Ind. - released with charges pending, charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Police issued the following statement:
"Chief McCoy credits the officers. These first shift officers are extremely active at pursuing illegal drugs within our community. They have made illegal drug crimes there mission and are using any and all resources available to them to investigate drug related crime, while building quality investigations and arresting those responsible. If you are using, selling or manufacturing illegal drugs in our community it is only a matter of time until these officers track you down and you end up behind bars."
