2 Dead After 5 Shootings Over Weekend (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Over the holiday weekend, five shootings left two dead and two others in critical condition.

The First Shooting
Robert W. Kanyuh, 65, died from gunshot wounds Sunday afternoon. Saturday around 11:30 a.m. the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home invasion on the 13600 block of Lafayette Center Road in Fort Wayne. Police say Kanyuh was inside the residence when a black male suspect entered the home and shot him in the abdomen. The suspect fled the scene and Kanyuh was taken to the hospital. Police are still searching for a motive. This is the 13th homicide in 2013.

The Second Shooting
Saturday around 1:30 p.m., investigators believe a shooter wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt ran from between houses and shot Marcus Bibbs, 19, who was walking on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of S. Hanna. The suspect fled from the scene. The victim is in critical condition.

The Third Shooting
Police were called to Early Bird's Ultra Lounge, 4201 N. Wells Street, in reference to a shooting around 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say shortly after the bar closed there was a fight out in the parking lot involving several people. During the fight shots were fired. A short time later Marck Vachone, 22, showed up to a Fort Wayne hospital suffering from a bullet wound. He was last listed in critical condition.

The Fourth Shooting
Sunday, a little after 7:00 p.m. someone dropped off Montez Brooks, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound at Parkview Hospital on Randallia Dr. Brooks was transferred to another hospital and later died. According to The Journal Gazette, police say they were told the shooting may have happened near Smith and Oxford streets. This is the 14th homicide this year.

The Fifth Shooting
Sunday evening at around 8:00 p.m. a man was shot in the calf by a drive-by shooter near Hanna and Hayden. The victim is in fair condition and the suspect fled the scene.
