FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- On Monday at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 5500 block of McClellan Street in response to a report of an attempted robbery.

The resident of the home reported that upon her arrival, she and her male companion encountered two men inside who were armed with handguns. The perpetrators then bound the hands of the two victims, and demanded ‘the bank keys’. According to our partner in news, The Journal Gazette, police declined to say whether the man or woman work at a financial institution.

One of the victims was able to free himself from the ties and the perpetrators fled the home on foot. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

A Canine Unit attempted a track which terminated nearby.

Investigators are asking for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity, vehicle, or person(s) in that area at that time, or anyone with information about this incident to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
