BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (www.theindychannel.com) - The two men charged in the killing of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found submerged in a southwestern Indiana lake earlier this week appeared in court Friday.

Jordan Buskirk, 26, and Randal Crosley, 25, are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit rape and criminal confinement. They are being held without bond.

Each suspect had his own hearing Friday. A preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on behalf of both men.

They're both scheduled back in court Aug. 5.

Katelyn Wolfe, of Linton, had been missing since June 6. Police said Buskirk and Crosley killed her that day and dumped her weighted body in a lake in rural Sullivan County.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Crosley used Wolfe's cellphone to update her Facebook account in an attempt to hide their actions.

That posting, sent early the morning of June 6, said Wolfe was "out on a walk with creeps that keep driving by."

Buskirk told police that he and Crosley had previous conversations about "forcing themselves onto a complete stranger" for at least a week and that the men had purchased condoms, handcuffs, restraint straps, rope and a 20-pound weight in preparation of raping and killing someone, court documents indicated.

Authorities believe Wolfe was a convenient target after the men met with her to deliver valium pills. Wolfe was tied up and thrown into the lake a short time later, police said.

Buskirk told police he and Crosley weren't targeting Wolfe specifically.

Buskirk's father, Gilbert Buskirk, told our ABC affiliate RTV6 he wishes he could have intervened.

"I wish I could have stopped it," he said. "I swear to God, if I would have known, I would have stopped it. I'm so sorry for their loss."
