FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fort Wayne police busy investigating two shootings on the south and southeast side of town.

Just before 3:30am, emergency crews were called to the 3400 block of Reed Street where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. They took him to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Police have spent a lot of time Friday morning at a second scene at the intersection of Bowser and Colerick where they found an abandoned car. They're trying to figure out if that car is connected to the shooting.

The previous shooting happened just before 8pm Thursday evening at the intersection of McKee and Abbott Street. Emergency responders arrived to find a man with apparent gunshot wounds sitting in a car. He died at the scene. Witnesses tell police they saw a car pull up next to the victim's car and fire several shots before speeding off. Police found several shell casings at the scene.

Anyone with helpful information is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department.
