Moped Driver Dies From Injuries Sustained In Crash (PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The man who was critically injured after the moped he was driving and a car collided, has died.

The Allen County Coroner announced Wednesday that Andrew Kunze, 31, died from blunt force trauma. His death is the 32nd traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2013.

Kunze was injured on the evening of Nov 5th in a crash with a collision with a car west of downtown Fort Wayne. Kunze was not wearing a helmet.

The Fort Wayne Police Department says just before 6 p.m., the moped, driven by Kunze was heading eastbound on W. Main St. when a car facing westbound and turning left onto Watkins Street drove into the path of the moped.

The driver of the car, Michael Kohl was also hospitalized in critical condition, police say.
