LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A child drowned Monday night while swimming as part of a summer camp.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources says campers from the Howe School Summer Camp were swimming in Cedar Lake when staff noticed one child was missing around 6 p.m.
Lifeguards searched the lake, and found the body of the child in 8 feet of water.
The child was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Howe School Summer Camp is for boys, ages 9 to 15, according to the camp's website.
The identity of the drowning victim has not been made public.
