BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Another star Indiana University men's basketball player will forgo his college eligibility and enter the 2013 National Basketball Association Draft.
Sophomore center Cody Zeller announced his intentions at a press conference at Assembly Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
"A big advantage is having Tyler (Zeller; Cody's brother) go through it," Cody Zeller says. "We've been taling about it a few times a week."
Zeller joins junior guard Victor Oladipo in saying bye to Bloomington. Oladipo declared for the NBA draft Wednesday.
Zeller averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in 2012-13. He was named 1st team All-Big Ten Conference and 2nd team All-America.
Zeller was a standout at small town Washington High School, where he won Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2011 and 3A boys basketball state championships in 2008, 2010 and 2011. He verbally committed to IU in November 2010.
The NBA Draft is June 27.
