FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The third annual Northeast Indiana "TechFest" event will take place Saturday at the Regional Public Safety Academy: Ivy Tech South Campus.
All Northeast Indiana High School students from 9th to 12th grade are eligible to participate in the video game tournament and other events.
TechFest is an opportunity for local high school students to engage in a full day of video game tournaments, problem-solving team competitions, informational tables about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in Northeast Indiana, and much more. Local universities and colleges will also be on hand to provide information about majors related to these subject areas.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning individual or team in each game and raffle prizes will be given away throughout the day. Non-participating guests are welcome to purchase tickets at the door for $5. TechFest lasts from 9 a.m. to 6p.m. Registration is closed for this event, but the public is welcome to attend and watch the fun!
