Butler Man Charged In Home Marijuana Operation

BUTLER, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Police responding to a DeKalb County domestic dispute uncovered a marijuana growing operation.

Officers from the Butler Police Department were called to the 300 block of N. Park Lane Wednesday afternoon. While investigating, police say they saw a pot in plain view.

Jack L. Porter, 40, the owner of the home gave written permission for authorities to search the home. That's when police found the more marijuana plants, lighting, timers and other drug paraphernalia.

Porter is charged with felony and misdemeanor possesion of marijuana, misdemeanor dealing of marijuana, felony maintaining a common nuisance and felony possesion of a serious violent felon.

Court document do not indicate what his previous felony charges were.
