Police Investigate Fairfield Avenue Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Fort Wayne Police Department are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery early Monday morning.

Police say an individual was followed by the suspect into a gas station near the 2100 block of Fairfield Ave. Around 5 a.m. The suspect held up the individual as gunpoint and took and undisclosed amount of cash, police say.

There were no injuries reported.

Police are looking for a suspect who wore a black and yellow jacket with a design on the back of his jacket. The suspect was also wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and winter hat.

Police detectives were given surveillance video of the gas station. Police have provided that video to the media, hoping for anyone with information to come forward.
