Victim Identified In Broadway Homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A man found dead Monday inside an antiques shop on Broadway was ruled Fort Wayne and Allen County's 30th homicide of 2012.

J. Robert Shimer, 58, of Fort Wayne, died of blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Allen County coroner's office.

Just after 5 p.m. Monday, police were called to Antiques On Broadway store, 1115 Broadway.

Police say a customer entered the store, and found Shimer dead.

No arrests have been made, and the homicide remains under investigation. Police say there is no clear motive.
