Attempted Robbery At Coldwater Road Chase Bank

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fort Wayne police are investigating an attempted robbery at a branch on the north side of town Friday afternoon.

Witnesses tell police a male walked into the Chase bank, 3810 Coldwater Rd., at 3:19 p.m., approached a teller and presented a note demanding money.

No weapons were shown, and no injuries reported at the scene, police say.

The suspect was unable to take any money, and is said to have fled on foot to a mobile home park near the Coldwater Road/Clinton Street split.

The Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task, composed of multiple police agencies, is investigating. Anyone who may know who the man is or his whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-STOP.
