FINDLAY, Ohio (21Alive) – A 12-year-old Fort Wayne boy died Sunday after being hit by a train in Northwest Ohio..

Sgt. Matt Kinsinger with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department says three kids hopped a train Sunday in Fort Wayne, jumped off near Fostoria and began to walk west along the tracks to head home. That's when 12-year-old Hu Sein fell asleep on the tracks, just north of Findlay, and was hit by a passing train.

Za Ke Te, the mother of Hu Sein, says she is in extreme pain at the loss of her son.

"All my friends come here and encourage me," she says through the help of a translator. "They will be here for me, and they will pray for me."

The two other kids were returned safely to their parents Sunday. Sgt. Kinsinger says officers had trouble communicating with 13-year-old Nohah Lan and 15-year-old Sa Bee because of a language barrier. Lan and Bee were not hurt.

Sa Bee says she originally did not want to go with the other teens, but ultimately was convinced.

"We saw the train," Sa Bee says. "We tried to run and save him, but we were late."

Sa Bee says she feels extremely guilty about Hu Sein's death.

Sgt. Kinsinger says it was a very hot day and the children did not appear to have water with them. He says it appears Sein's death was an accident and no foul play is suspected.
