I Wear Pink: Francine's Friends Mammography Unit At INC

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indiana's NewsCenter is raising awareness for breast cancer issues Saturday as part I Wear Pink campaign on the 21st of each month.

Francine's Friends Mobile Mammography Unit stopped by the station today, offering mammographies for women.

Women aged 35 and older, who have not had a breast exam in the past 12 months or have not previously had breast cancer, were invited to be screened.

The results were interpreted by board-certified radiologists from Fort Wayne Radiology.

Francine's Friends has helped thousands of low-income and uninsured women get check-ups.

The I Wear Pink effort is a partnership between Indiana's NewsCenter and Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center to remind women of all ages the importantance of self breast exams.
