FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Martin Fisher returns this week for "Cool Science" to show us how to make a tornado in a jar.

It requires a plastic jar, water, liquid soap, and food coloring. By spinning the jar, it creates what scientists call a vortex; a spinning column of material. A tornado is a vortex of air, while a waterspout would be a vortex of water.

Watch the video to see this week's "Cool Science Monday."
