FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- In this week's episode of Cool Science Monday, Martin Fisher from Science Central will talk about the Gears Exhibit.
Gears transmit energy, in the form of motion, from one place to another. A series of gears, connected together, can allow for that motion and energy to transfer from one place to another place, as the connected gears move.
The rotational (turning) motion of a gear is called torque. Larger gears have more torque (force) than smaller gears, and larger gears turn fewer times than smaller gears in the same amount of time.
