FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- In this week's episode of Cool Science Monday, Martin Fisher from Science Central will talk about a Jacob's Ladder.

It’s an electrical device, sometimes called an Ascending Arc, that can be seen in old science fiction and horror movies. It has 2 tall, narrow wires. A spark is produced in the base of the exhibit, and the spark rises up in-between the two wires. The spark is hot, it warms the air around the spark, the warm air rises, and carries the spark with it.
