FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- In this week's episode of Cool Science Monday, Martin Fisher from Science Central will explain magnets.
Magnets have two poles – north and south. A north pole will repel a north pole, and a south repels a south. Like poles repel. North and south poles will attract and stick to each other, so opposite poles attract.
Martin showed an exhibit that had a series of round magnets at the bottom of long dowels. With this design, like poles will always face each other. So, no matter how he moved the dowels, the magnets always repelled and moved away from each other.
