Pathfinder Services, Inc. will celebrate its Annual Community Recognition Dinner Saturday, November 3rd at Huntington University. The keynote speaker for the event will be Rachel Simon, author of Riding The Bus With My Sister and Story of Beautiful Girl. The evening will include a punch reception beginning at 5:00, Dinner at 5:30, Presentation of the Timothy Hancher Award, the Herbert D. LaMont Award, and Pathfinder Services Community Partner Awards for outstanding partners of the organization.

Dinner will be followed by award presentations recognizing: Community Partners, the presentation of the Timothy Hancher Award and the prestigious Herbert D. LaMont Award. Rachel Simon’s
presentation & performance will conclude the dinner.

Rachel Simon is the award-winning author of six books and a nationally recognized public speaker on issues related to diversity and disability. Her titles include the bestsellers, The Story of Beautiful Girl and Riding The Bus with My Sister. Both books are frequent selections of book clubs and school reading programs around
the country.
Rachel’s work has been adapted for theater, NPR, the Lifetime Channel, and Hallmark Hall of Fame, whose adaptation of Riding The Bus With My Sister starred Rosie O’ Donnell and Andie McDowell, and was directed by Anjelica Huston. Rachel will be sharing her story with the dinner audience and will no doubt be an inspiring treat!

Pathfinder Services’ recognition dinner will be held at Habecker Dining Commons, adjacent to the Merillat Centre on the grounds of Huntington University.
