Yergens-Rogers Foundation and the Questa Education Foundation are proud to announce the continued funding of the Women in Business scholars program available for women students who reside in: Allen, Adams, DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells, and Whitley counties.
The Women in Business funding is intended to help women reach their business related educational goals. The funding is available to both Questa Contemporary Scholars (students who delayed their start or did not complete their education due to a financial “gap”) and traditional students who start their business education degree directly after high school.
“Thanks to this Women in Business funding we have expanded beyond Allen County in a significant step to provide funds to more women who have a financial gap slowing them increased access, completion of their education with reduced debt, and retain that talent in northeast Indiana” – Marc Levy, Executive Director of Questa Education Foundation
The Contemporary Scholars Program allows a student to borrow up to $2,500 per semester as a full-time student or $1,250 per semester as a part-time student in pursuit of their degree. Questa Education Foundation will forgive 50% of the scholar’s loan balance when the scholar lives and works in northeast Indiana for five years after graduation. Students who attend and graduate from one of Questa’s nine regional partner schools can receive an additional 25% loan forgiveness at graduation. The forgiveness feature (up to 75%) combined with the low fixed interest rate makes this program an unbeatable loan option for students.
The LaGrange County Community Foundation and Questa Education Foundation are pleased to announce available funds for two LaGrange Community Foundation/Questa scholars for the upcoming academic year. In addition, there is also the establishment of a LaGrange/Questa Scholar Endowment Fund. Apply now on our website: www.questafoundation.org – which is open through May 1.
To date, 38 women in northeast Indiana have benefitted from the Women in Business Scholars program. Local support is essential for helping increase the access to continued education and preparation for employment in our communities. For more information on Questa Education Foundation programs and completing the application by May 1, 2016 please visit our website at www.questafoundation.org or call us at 260-407-6494.
