A representative from the Indiana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be in Fort Wayne on Tuesday, June 25, to offer a free seminar on SBA Certification Programs and Federal Government Contracting. The seminar will meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the classroom of the Northeast ISBDC, located in the IPFW Hobson Center, 4312 Hobson Road, in Fort Wayne, with registration starting at 12:30 p.m. A representative from Partners in Contracting Corporation (PICC), the Indiana statewide Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), will also be speaking at this seminar.
This seminar is designed to help business owners expand their sales through federal government contracting. Vernice Mathis, business opportunity specialist for the SBA’s Indiana District Office, will lead seminar discussions on the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program Certification and the Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) Program, as well as on Federal Government Contracting. F. G. “Gil” Perry, counselor-trainer for the PICC PTAC in Northeast Indiana, will also be involved in leading the seminar.
