Local community organization, the North Anthony Corridor Group (NACG), invites neighbors and friends to walk or bike down to the Corridor this coming Back to School Walkable Wednesday on August 10th.
"This month's theme for Walkable Wednesday is Back to School. In addition to the business specials, this month also includes a firetruck show and tell and wet down by the Fort Wayne Fire Department from 5-7pm and a performance by local band, Knit Cap Vigilantes, from 7-8pm near the Firefly Coffee House ", says Allison Demaree-Coale of the NACG marketing committee.
Longe Optical will be featuring a complete pair of Kids HD lenses and frames starting at $99. Sweets So Geek will offer a discount on single serve ice cream cups. greenDogGoods will offer 25% off all dog collars and leashes. Firefly Coffee House will be having a special on kids smoothies and jones sodas and Old Crown will be offering specials on their adult beverages. The Bookmark will feature a book sale, The Health Food Shoppe will be giving out free samples and info, Creative Framing will have a 50% off in-stock art work sale, INRush Bicycles will be offering free bike safety checks, Studio Seva will be offering a free class pass, and State Farm and Acceptance Insurance will be offering information and snacks.
NACG’s Walkable Wednesdays are held the second Wednesday of the month (March-October). These monthly events encourage people to explore North Anthony Corridor businesses and to get to know the neighborhood. The event runs from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Business specials will run during business hours.
