Local community organization, the North Anthony Corridor Group (NACG), invites neighbors and friends to join them for some bike riding this month on Walkable Wednesday on May 11th.
Come ride your bike to the North Anthony Corridor (NAC)! While you're here, enjoy treats and awesomeness from your favorite NAC businesses. You can also get a free safety check on your bicycle. Other specials provided by participating businesses.
"This month, in addition to promoting bicycling, we will be featuring a new scavenger/photo contest. One participating business will be housing a 'golden sneaker', said Micki Syndram of the NACG events committee. "If you find the sneaker, take a picture of yourself with it, post it to this months Walkable Wednesday Facebook event page and you could win a special prize!"
INRush Bicycles will be offering free bike safety checks, Firefly Coffee House will be providing a discount on select drinks, Old Crown will be offering specials on their adult beverages, The Bookmark will feature a book sale, The Health Food Shoppe will be giving out free samples and info, Creative Framing will have a 50% off in-stock art work sale, Studio Seva will be offering a free class pass, and greenDogGoods will be featuring 25% off all dog collars and leashes. State Farm and Acceptance Insurance will also be offering information and snacks.
NACG’s Walkable Wednesdays are held the second Wednesday of the month (March-October). They encourage people to explore North Anthony Corridor businesses and to get to know the neighborhood. The event runs from 8:00am-8:00pm. Individual businesses participating hours will vary.
