Bluegrass Jam
Join us for our popular Bluegrass Jams the third Sunday, 2-4:00 pm, of July, August and September at Limberlost, the home of Gene Stratton-Porter. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the musicians. Refreshments served. Free but donations accepted.

Chimney Swift Sit and Program
Limberlost State Historic Site will be hosting a Chimney Swift Program by guest naturalist Alexandra Forsythe. Alexandra will be giving a program on the amazing chimney swifts at 7:30 pm at the Limberlost Visitor's Center. These birds actually nest in chimneys. At 8:30, we will be doing a Swift Sit in downtown Geneva to watch the chimney swifts end their day by flying into chimneys. Activities for children. Free but donations accepted.

Geneva's Geneva
Geneva's Geneva (1888-1913) is to celebrate the birthday of Gene Stratton-Porter. Her name was Geneva and she was from Geneva. This is for those over 21+ years/$20 per person. It was a popular event last year. A variety of Indiana wines and crafted beers served along with food and birthday cake prepared by Chef Cary McClure. Period music will be performed in the Music Room by Indianapolis musician Adrienne Provezano. Learn about Mrs. Porter's natural science and literary legacy. Twenty-five year timeline around the site. Tour Mrs. Porter's gardens with her famous swamp guide Paxson. Reservations preferred but not necessary.

Limberlost and passenger pigeon extinction
Meet and hear author Sherrida Woodley from Cheney WA at the Limberlost Visitor's Center. Ms. Woodley is the author of the book "Quick Fall" and the upcoming article on Gene Stratton-Porter, Limberlost and the Passenger Pigeon in the Sep/Oct issue of "Bird Watcher's Digest." Copies of the book and the magazine will be available. Event is free but donations accepted.
