The hours of operation will be Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, 10 am – 4 pm… weather permitting. This is a graduate/volunteer manned entity of Blue Jacket, Inc.
Proceeds of the Blue Jacket Farmer’s Market will directly fund the wages of the Alumni Coordinator. This position serves to provide mentoring services to Blue Jacket graduates, connecting them with positive supports and activities in the community. The goal of mentoring is to keep graduates on track to becoming productive members of society, thus lowering the likelihood of a return to prison.
It also provides fresh food items to the surrounding community. This neighborhood was featured as one of the many food deserts in a recent story. We are happy and proud to be a source of better food options for all of our neighbors!
