Event Description

August 25, 2015 Updated Aug 25, 2015 at 9:55 AM EDT

ImprovingBirth.org is excited to announce its 4th Annual Rally to Improve Birth, taking place this Labor Day, September 7, 2015.

Our Mission is to see evidence-based care become standard practice across the country...That means that every woman in the U.S. has access to maternity care that is solidly based in the most current, highest quality scientific research and that considers her individual circumstances, wishes, and values.

The second part of that mission is safer, informed birth options for all women; this means that mothers have not just the right, but means, to make educated decisions about their own safety and that of their babies.

The Purpose of the Improving Birth Annual Rally:
The Rally to Improve Birth is a strategically designed awareness campaign and our annual signature fundraising campaign. The purpose of the event is to reach the public directly and by engaging the media about evidence-based care and humanity in childbirth. The money raised as part of the Rally is used to run Improving Birth - our operating costs and our national strategic initiatives throughout the year.

This event will include sign holding, speakers, a raffle with great prizes, kid corner with coloring pages and bubble machine, snacks, possibly a little music, and more in the making! This is also a great event to learn more about what your community has to offer for women and their families. I hope that you can all make it out and help raise some awareness!
