National Federation of Republican Women leaders will make stops in northern Indiana this Friday, July 8th, in their red, white and blue bus nicknamed “Rosie” to rally communities and register local residents to vote. NFRW President Carrie Almond will be joined by Indiana Federation of Republican Women president, Suzanne Heinzmann, Noble County Republican Women’s Club members, and area legislators from northern Indiana.
“Our mission with the ‘NFRW Destination: White House’ bus tour is to register Republican-leaning women to vote, rally our clubs and communities across the country, and put a Republican back in the White House,” says Almond, of Chillicothe, Mo. “Women’s voices and votes will make the difference.”
Traveling on the bus along with Almond will be several Federation leaders who serve on both the NFRW and Indiana Federation of Republican Women. The bus will be greeted by Shelly Williams, the president of the Noble County Republican Women’s Club, and Mayor Suzanne Handshoe, who is an active member of the noble county club as well. Many club members, local office holders, and state and local candidates will be present.
“It is quite an honor to have Rosie stop in Kendallville, as the only other stops in northern Indiana are Howard and Kosciusko counties,” says Williams. “We look forward to welcoming our national president, NFRW leaders, our state president, and of course Rosie, to Noble County. Our members are strong and committed to help elect republicans into political offices, and this tour will engage men and women of all ages with our organization to remind them to vote and vote Republican.”
The rally is open to the public and will be held in front of City Hall, downtown Kendallville, on Friday, July 8th beginning around 3:15pm. Candidates and office holders will be introduced; cookies will be served; the president of the national federation will speak; and a chance to sign the bus and be a part of history will be given! It will conclude at 4:15pm.
People are encouraged to “watch for Rosie” as the NFRW Bus Tour travels from Kosciusko county to Noble county via St. Rd. 15 and U.S. 6.
