Adult Beginners Piano Boot Camp
January 12-16, 7:00-8:00 PM
In an accelerated format, seasoned pianist Eric Clancy will provide you with the tools you need to play a fairly challenging (beginner/intermediate) piano piece. The skills that you learn will give you a solid musical foundation, so you can continue on your musical journey!

Open Acoustic Jam

You're invited to join us every 2nd and 4th Tuesday for a family-friendly Open Acoustic Jam. Held at Sweetwater from 5-8, these jams are open to players of all skill levels, and guitarists of all ages are encouraged to attend. It's sure to be a great time, so grab your favorite acoustic axe and join us for our Open Acoustic Jam. We encourage you to hang out, exchange ideas, share songs, and have fun. We hope to see you there!

Exploring Music (Ages 0-3)

$20 per session, $85 for all 5
Certified instructor and licensed music educator Rochelle Starnes will use music as a way of intensifying the bond between you and your infant or preschooler. By implementing innovative, time-proven teaching techniques while exposing your child to music, Rochelle will also enhance his or her social, fine motor, and emotional development. This course espouses the philosophy that music can be used as a highly-effective foundation for education beginning at a very young age. And it's fun for both the students and the parents!

Piano FUNdamentals (Ages 3-8)

Saturdays, January 17, 24, and 31; February 7 and 14, 10:00-11:00 AM
$20 per session or $85 for all 5
While it's never too late to start learning piano, young children still have an advantage because of their pliable hands. Additionally, their quickly-developing brains are able to learn complex skills like language and music at an astonishing rate. Taught by seasoned piano instructor Aubree Doud, this course will teach your child the basics of piano while igniting their passion for music. Parents are highly encouraged to stay in the room at the piano with the students while they learn. These group classes are a perfect way to find out if your child is ready for private piano instruction.

Adult Beginners Acoustic Guitar Boot Camp
Presented by Sweetwater
January 19-23, 7:00-8:00 PM
Taught by accomplished guitarist Ken Jehle, these five classes will teach you the basics and show you how learning the guitar can be fun and enjoyable! In addition to learning some simple songs, you'll also gain the resources you need to continue learning. You will need to bring an acoustic guitar, a capo, and your favorite guitar pick. All other materials are provided. If you need to get your first guitar or want to acquire a different guitar, our Music Store staff is ready to assist in making your buying experience enjoyable.

Learn Live Sound!

$150 for the entire 6-week course or $35 per class

Jazz Jam

Come to Sweetwater on the last Thursday of each month for an evening of musical exploration. These jams are the perfect opportunity for rhythm section and wind players to get together and play jazz in a laid back, relaxed environment. A piano, drum kit, amps, and mics will be provided by Sweetwater. All you need is yourself, your instrument, and your passion for jazz. We hope to see you there!

Chuck Anderson Master Class

Chuck Anderson, acclaimed jazz guitarist, composer, and educator is coming to Sweetwater to teach a guitar Master Class! With a sound that has been described as smoky, bluesy, rhythmic, and powerful, Chuck is renowned for his ability to perform extended off-the-cuff guitar solos. Utilizing his groundbreaking teaching methods, Chuck will cover some jazz guitar basics, in addition to teaching you how to improvise and build your personal musical repertoire.
