Award-winning blues rock star, guitar hero and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa and his ace touring band will perform in concert at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. The one-night-only show is in support of his brand new solo album Driving Towards The Daylight (J&R Adventures) which made its chart debut at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, the 8th time a Bonamassa album has debuted at #1. He also debuted at #23 on the Billboard Top 200, a career-best outranking 2011's Dust Bowl which peaked at #37, and #5 on the Independent Chart. This is Bonamassa's best opening sales week to date.
In the UK, Driving Towards The Daylight led the way for most of the week before Emeli Sande nudged past by fewer than 100 sales to clinch the #1 spot. It debuted at #2, also a career-best since Dust Bowl's peak at #12.
Bonamassa's new album is getting raves: All Music Guide said, "the arrangements and guitars mesh together like whisky and soda" andMSN.com calls it "nothing less than astounding." American Songwriter ranks Bonamassa "among our greatest living guitar players." Across the pond, UK's Guitar & Bass says its "one of his best," The Sun calls Bonamassa's playing "jawdropping," and Guitarist said "his guitar, voice and songs are simply better than ever."
