Saturday Studio One-Day Art Workshops (Grades 9-12)
Local high school art teachers know that their art students flourish from one-day intensive workshops, bringing fresh ideas back to the classroom and we've listened to their requests for these types of classes. The IPFW Community Arts Academy (CAA) is pleased to present a full slate of one-day workshops for high school students. Teenagers are busy people and while they often are not able to take a series of series of Saturday classes, they are able to make themselves available for one-day workshops. These exciting workshops help improve their skills in the media in which they are most interested. Our CAA instructors put their heads together to come up with classes that are popular and of great interest to high school students and can be taught in an intensive one-day setting. For details or to register, click the class name below.
•Drawing the Superhero (February 28)
•Raku Ceramics (March 9 and 16; note this is two sessions)

College Vocal Audition Workshop (Grades 9-12)
Get the jump on the competition! Auditions to be accepted into university music programs are just around the corner. The College Vocal Audition Workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn in a supportive and schooled environment from university professors, those same people for whom you will be auditioning to get into college. High school juniors and seniors will be given preference for placement in this workshop but freshmen and sophomores will be able to take part if space permits. Participants will learn audition etiquette and what it takes to be a music major, plus will have voice lessons and rehearsals with IPFW faculty members, and auditions with customized feedback. Students should bring two prepared songs (one in English and one in a foreign language), comfortable clothes for movement and dress clothes for the audition.
Saturday, January 17, 12noon to 5:15pm
Rhinehart Music Center
Instructors: Dr. Samuel Savage, Ashlee Bickley, Julie Donnell, Mark Stachofsky
