The Purdue University Master Gardener volunteer program helps gardeners grow by providing them with intensive training in horticultural principles. Participants, in turn, share their knowledge by providing volunteer leadership and service to their communities. In 2014, volunteer training sessions will begin on Sept. 3 and conclude in early November. Training sessions will be conducted at the Allen County Extension office on Wednesday Evenings from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM and on Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM (weekly classes are separate teaching sessions – not the same session).
The $125.00 program fee includes class material and a reference notebook. To learn more about this very popular volunteer program or to pick up an application, visit the Allen County Extension office (4001 Crescent Avenue-on the IPFW campus) or call 260-481-6826 and press option #3.
