November 24, 2014 Updated May 6, 2015 at 10:14 AM EST

The Purdue University Master Gardener volunteer program helps gardeners grow by providing them with intensive training in horticultural principles. Participants, in turn, share their knowledge by providing volunteer leadership and service to their communities. In 2015, two training sessions will be offered - one in spring 2015 and one in fall. Training sessions will be conducted at the Allen County Extension office.

The Fall Training will begin on September 9 and end November 14. These classes are held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9:00 am - to 12:30 pm.

The $125.00 program fee includes class materials and a reference notebook. To learn more about this very popular volunteer program visit the Allen County Extension Office (4001 Crescent Avenue, on the IPFW campus) or call 260-481-6826 and press option #3.
