The Old Fort Mustangers Club (OFMC) along with Wrigley Field will be welcoming the 2013 High Five Tour. Club members will be leaving from Tom Wood Ford 3130 E 96th St, Indianapolis at 12 noon on August 10.
They will be coming north to Fort Wayne on I69 and stopping at the 50 mile marker at approximatly 12:45 to pick up any others that would like to join the caravan north.
When the caravan arrives in Fort Wayne around 2:00 PM, we will meet up with them at Bob Thomas Ford, 310 W Coliseum Blvd, on the Speedway Road side.
Between 2:30 - 2:45 we will leave Bob Thomas (hopefully with police escort) to Wrigley Field, 6527 E State Blvd.
The event at Wrigley Field will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
The purpose of the High Five Tour is to thank Americans for their support of military families and raise awareness and funds for Wounded Warriors Family Support’s mission, which is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.
High Five Tour 2013 will include two tours, one East and one West of the Mighty Missouri River and make stops in all 48 states.
Supporters will be able to sign the Tour Car with a message of support to veterans and their families.
All funds raised on each tour will go toward building a “smart home” for the family of a deserving wounded warrior. Wounded Warriors Family Support has pledged no less than $100,000 for each of these endeavors.
Wounded Warriors Family Support is partnering with the Gary Sinise Foundation on both “smart homes”.
