The 24th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Last year, Allen County residents, letter carriers and schools collected more than half a million pounds of non-perishable food during the drive.
The food drive will benefit Associated Churches Neighborhood Food Network and other local food pantries, again this year. The Associated Churches Neighborhood Food Network operates 26 pantries throughout the community and distributed more than 1,530,500 meals in 2015.
Allen County residents are asked to help re-stock local pantries and help alleviate the hunger that many Allen County residents face. To donate, place a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox on Saturday, May 14, 2016 or take donations to any of the five drop off locations. Local letter carriers will collect bags placed by mailboxes during their regular delivery routes and then take the food to area food pantries.
Volunteers are needed to assist with collecting and sorting donations at Associated Churches. Please call 260-422-3528 for more information.
