Mikhael Anton, assistant professor of photography at IPFW, speaks to our hopes, dreams and sense of identity in her latest exhibition. In the series "Sense of Place" she focuses on the spaces from her childhood. She tries to remember a different time and place as she photographs and explores that sense of identity and coming of age within a particular landscape. She looks for the emotions in the landscape and explores how these spaces have become almost stuck in their own past. Professor Antone will discuss her work on Wednesday, Oct. 21, immediately followed by a reception in the Visual Arts Gallery.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekends. For information call the Department of Visual Communication and Design, 260-481-6709 or visit www.ipfw.edu/vcd
