Clarinet Day Schedule – Friday, Jan. 9, 2015
Pre-registration—Please go to music@ipfw.edu and let us know how many will be attending the day’s events.

11:30 am Registration at the door. You may register at any point during the day’s events in the IPFW Music office.

Noon-1:00 pm Clarinet Ensemble-Sight-read and play-a-long in RRH

1:00-2:00 pm Campbell MacDonald Masterclass--Principal clarinetist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic presents a Masterclass on preparing for professional auditions and playing Principal Clarinet in a professional orchestra

2:00-3:00 pm David Welter—Presentation on reed making and adjusting reeds

3:00-4:00 pm Lisa Canning—Entrepreneur and owner of Lisa’s Clarinet Shop in Chicago and Baltimore will present instruments, barrels and other equipment to explore.

4:00-5:30 pm David Shifrin Masterclass—World-renowned clarinetist will hear works by Bernstein, Mozart, Mucynski, Weber

5:30-6:30 pm Cindy Greider Masterclass—IPFW Mentor and Fort Wayne Philharmonic Clarinetist will coach soloists and ensembles in preparation for ISSMA Contest

6:30-7:15 pm FREE PIZZA!!!

7:30-8:45pm Observe Philharmonic Rehearsal of Mozart Clarinet Concerto with David Shifrin soloist in IPFW Auer Hall.
