Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coalition announced their “3nd Annual Pits in the Park” event to be held on September 13th, 2014 at Freimann Square, downtown Fort Wayne. “Pits in the Park” will include multiple shelters, rescues, and local businesses as vendors, raffles, microchipping and Free nail trimming, live music throughout the event, a “kissing booth” for attendees to make a donation for a loving pit bull “kiss”, and a “Pit Bull Parade” open for everyone to participate.
“Pits in the Park” will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 13th, 2014. The Pit Bull Parade is at 2:00pm and will be a route around the Freimann Square block.
The music line-up consists of Ramon Volez and Djenetic Drift, along with Education Seminars on training, wellness, and the importance of spay and neuter.
"Bringing the community together to celebrate a breed of dog that is often times misjudged is important, but even more so, educating the public and pit bull owners on proper ownership is paramount to promoting a community that is safe for everyone."
Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coaltion is a 501c3 (tax exempt) nonprofit animal welfare group dedicated to improving the conditions for pit bull type dogs in northern Indiana through education, public awareness, and providing resources for pit bulls in need.
