Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast will celebrate the beginning of National Poetry Month by combining two events into one that will promote literacy within our community. The 6th Annual Edible Book Festival and a culminating program for Now Read This! will take place on Monday, April 2 at the Student Life Center on the North Campus (4900 St. Joe Road).
The Edible Book Festival is a celebration of the International Edible Book Festival, an annual event that unites book lovers, artists, and food enthusiasts. The Ivy Tech Library is organizing the event which features edible displays that pay homage to beloved literary classics and are created by local food/cake artists.
"We've hosted more than one hundred edible books over the last five years, and every year I'm astounded the creativity and talent submitted by our participants,” said Ivy Tech Librarian Jen Traore. “Edible book artists make something fun to look at, think on, and taste.
