Guest Artist Masterclass with Boris Slutsky, piano
The world-renowned pianist Boris Slutsky will conduct a masterclass with selected IPFW music majors the afternoon before his performance with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. He will be performing in Midwinter Mozart, featuring several of the composer’s most famous and beloved works. Slutsky emerged on the international music scene when he captured the First Prize at the 1981 William Kapell International (University of Maryland) Piano Competition. He maintains an active and illustrious performing career and is chair of the Piano Department at Peabody Conservatory. This intimate learning opportunity is open to pianists of all ages as well as anyone else interested in observing free of charge.
