IPFW SaxFest 2015, featuring Belgian Saxophone Professor Hans de Jong Hans De Jong will be the featured guest artist conducting a masterclass for IPFW SaxFest 2015. Saxophone enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own sax for a fun day of saxophone-related activities including clinics, masterclasses, chamber group coaching, and private lessons in classical and jazz, while a saxophone choir prepares for that evening’s performance. Masterclass with Ilya Yakushev, piano
On Friday, April 17, the world-renowned pianist Ilya Yakushev will conduct a masterclass with selected IPFW music majors in advance of his performance the following evening with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. He delighted Fort Wayne audiences with Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in 2012. This April the charismatic artist returns to perform Beethoven’s majestic Piano Concerto No. 4. This intimate learning opportunity is open to pianists of all ages and is free of charge.
