The annual IPFW Gene Marcus Piano Camp and Festival is in its fourth year, providing not only instruction to registered campers but also concerts and master classes for the general public. As part of the IPFW Community Arts Academy and Department of Music, the concerts and masterclasses listed below are held in the Rhinehart Recital Hall and are free of charge. Students, teachers, family members, and the general public are welcome to attend and find out what the IPFW Gene Marcus Piano Camp is all about.

Opening Recital: Hamilton Tescarollo, piano
The IPFW Gene Marcus Piano Camp will open with a recital by camp director and IPFW Associate Professor of Music/Director of Keyboard Studies, Dr. Hamilton Tescarollo. Dr. Tescarollo will perform works by Scarlatti, Bach/Busoni, Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel.

Emerging Artist Recital: Andrew Nesler, piano
Andrew Nesler is a talented young pianist from Tucson, Arizona, who is currently pursuing a degree in piano performance at IPFW. His program features Scriabin's second sonata and works by Bach, Haydn, Chopin, and Prokofieff, as well as one of his own compositions.

Guest Artist Piano Masterclass: Dr. Masson Robertson
Dr. Masson Robertson, camp featured guest artist and IPFW Associate Professor of Music/Director of Keyboard Studies Emeritus, will work with several camp students in a masterclass setting. Piano students and teachers, as well as members of the community in general, are welcome to attend.

Emerging Artist Recital: Evan Keenan, piano
Among other distinctions, pianist Evan Keenan (B.M. piano performance '12) has been the state winner of the Indiana Music Teachers Association Hoosier Auditions and the recipient of the IPFW Department of Music's 2011 Outstanding Senior Award in Music Performance. He will perform Bach's Prelude and Fugue in D Major, BWV 850; Beethoven's Sonata Op. 10, No. 3; and Korngold's Maerchenbilder, Op. 3.

Camp Faculty Piano Masterclass: Dr. Hamilton Tescarollo
Dr. Tescarollo will work with several camp students in a masterclass setting. Piano students and teachers, as well as members of the
community in general, are welcome to attend.

Emerging Artist Recital: Jason Simon, piano
Jason Simon (B.M. Piano Performance '14) is currently pursuing a master's degree in piano performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music. The winner of many prizes and awards, he is the IPFW Department of Music's 2014 Outstanding Senior in Music Performance. He will perform Beethoven's Sonata Op. 109, Liszt's B Minor sonata, and selections by Chopin.

IPFW Gene Marcus Piano Camp Student Recital
The final performance of the IPFW Gene Marcus Piano Camp, this recital will feature solo and piano duet performances by this year's
camp participants.
Friday, June 19, 5:30 p.m.
