Area residents Clinton Bienz, Ellen Moussou, and Tyler Muehl will perform with the Concordia University concert choir, Kapelle, in Ft. Wayne on March 7th as part of the choir’s annual spring concert tour. The Kapelle is conducted by Charles P. Brown, Director of Choral Activities at Concordia University Chicago.
The choir will perform at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave, Ft. Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, March 7th at 7:00pm. In addition to its annual domestic tours, Kapelle embarks on an international tour every four years and has performed in Europe and South America, including Finland, France, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Chile and Argentina. The choir has been invited to sing concerts in Poland this coming May. In addition to touring opportunities, Kapelle has produced eleven recordings.
Joining Kapelle for this concert will be the Jr. Choir of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School as well as the A Capella Choir of Concordia Lutheran High School. Pre-Concert music performed by the Concordia LHS choir will begin at 6:45pm.
The March concert program will include a variety of pieces programmed for wide audience appeal. Admission is free; however, a free will offering will be received. For more information please contact Patricia Cotton at 260.739.6547.
